Mob Psycho 100 [10/10]

“Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. “Mob”) is a 8th grader with psychic abilities. He could bend spoons and lift objects with his mind from a young age, but he slowly began to withhold from using his abilities in public due to the negative attention he kept receiving. Now, the only thing he wants is to become friends with a girl in his class, Tsubomi. With his psychic “mentor” (who has no psychic powers), he continues his daily life, attempting to realize his purpose in life.” -MangaHelpers

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU’RE NOT WATCHING THIS BECAUSE OF THE ARTWORK THEN YOU’RE MISSING OUT! Mob Psycho 100 was created by ONE (the same guy who made the One Punch Man web comics). We follow Mob and his everyday life involving following his con artist of a teacher and exorcising ghost. But the story begins to unfold when Mob founds out there are other espers besides him. The story enough is something that should pull you in, but if that wasn’t enough don’t worry there’s. First let’s talk about the animation, the fluidity of all the fight scenes are on par, IF NOT BETTER, with One Punch Man. It has a cartoony effect but it works well together as a whole. Next is the character development, and this is most evident in Ritsu. Ritsu was always fond of his brother’s special powers was actually treating him with respect, in fear that Mob might someday hurt him. And after being able to gain his own powers he loses that fear and picks a fight with Mob only to realize later that Mob sincerely cares for him and his well-being. I’m always a sucker for strong family bonds and this got me pretty hard. So I hope everyone reads this review and realizes that anime isn’t just about artwork, it’s much deeper than that!!!!
