Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ♭[Review]

Second season of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata.
After a very long wait (2 years!) Saekano returns with another season! Continuing right where season 1 left off, Blessing Software aims to complete the game that they’ve been working on.
————————————————————————-
Story:
Season 1 focused on the process of finding the members that would create the game. Season 2, is about the “making” part and the relationships between all the characters. Tomoya makes a lot of weak decision and that causes a lot of problems in the group, making me frustrated through most of the show. The ending resolved most of it but there’s still a lingering need for more.
Artwork & Animation:
The artwork stayed pretty consistent as well as the great camera angles! Though a big complaint I have is the opening animation. The opening was like either tried copying a Visual Novel game opening sequence or they didn’t put effort into it. Either way, it pales in comparison to the first season.
Character(s):
The great thing about season 2, is the massive amount of character development we get from all the characters (except Michiru who gets 0 screen time). Everyone’s will to become better than they are in the present, pushing past the limit. However; that works against Tomoya, As everyone grows, it felt like he was holding them back, and that’s frustrating. He does redeem himself somewhat at the end of the show, but that makes us want to watch more!
Sound (OST & Voice Acting):
Voice acting and soundtrack are fantastic as ever! Honorable Mention to Oonishi Saori-san (Eriri’s Voice Actor) for making Eriri such an energetic and memorable character, especially when fighting with Utaha senpai!
Enjoyment:
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as season 1, but overall it’s still pretty good! I’m hoping to see another season, to see how everyone grows in the future!
Overall: score 8
A more drama-filled story compared to last season, the story now focuses more on character development and relationships within Blessing Software. Good character development and great artwork to back it up to make for a great anime. However; that’s pulled back by a weak and indecisive main character and downgrade in quality in the opening animation.
