For those that haven’t seen this yet, YOU HAVE TO GET THROUGH THE FIRST EPISODE! DON’T BACK OUT BECAUSE THE ECCHI IS A LITTLE STRONG IN THE FIRST EPISODE. There are no words to describe just how good Shokugeki no Souma really is, but I’ll do my best to tell you as best as I can. Shokugeki has everything from good comedy, great and beautiful artwork of food, amazing and memorable characters, a touch of ecchi, and an edge of your seat story. These elements really bring out the flavor that is Shokugeki no Souma. What really sets Shokugeki apart from other cooking type anime is that there are so many characters from all over the world, and each of them have their own cooking, seeing the different ways to make curry and other dishes is really interesting to see, not only their style but their personalities are really brought forth into the dishes that they make. Character development in Shokugeki no Souma is AMAZING, Not only Soma’s backstory but also Megumi’s back story was really touching TTATT seeing how they’ve come so far, really makes me root for them even more. But not just them some of the other characters also have intriguing back stories like The Aldini brothers, every one from the Polar Star Dorm, Nakiri Erina etc. There were no characters left behind without a backstory, and that really enriches not only the characters but also the story dragging you further and further into plot until you just can’t get out XD. I’m really hoping for season 2 because the Autumn Election haven’t ended yet and I want to know what happens!!!!
