Gakuen Toshi Asterisk was definitely one of the favorites going into this season, and all it had to do was show m the OP. The fluid animation in the OP is just so satisfying and when the first episode came out I just watched it over and over and over again! Although the “schools specializing in combat” type anime are getting more popular Gakuen Toshi Asterisk keeps itself unique with the lovely character designs, and the vivid combat scenes.

The story is still very muddy, nothing very clear has been brought forth about the limiter that has been placed on Ayato, and the whereabouts of his sister, but ending of episode 12 suggest more story development is on the way! And season 2 has already been confirm for April 2016! So I’ll keep this one short, and save the more detailed review for when season 2 is finished airing!
