Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda [10/10]

“Jun is a girl whose words have been sealed away. She was once a very happy girl, but because of a certain thing she said when she was very young, her family was torn apart. One day, the egg fairy appeared in front of her and sealed away her ability to talk in order to stop her from hurting anybody else. Since this traumatic experience, Jun lives in the shadows away from the limelight. But, one day, she is nominated to become an executive member of the “community outreach council.” On top of that, Jun is also appointed to play the main lead in their musical…” –Official Website
Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda was made by the same people who made Anohana (The Flower We Saw That Day), as you can see from the character designs and animation. A really cool fact is that the town that the story is set in is also the same town in Anohana. The character designs and the artwork is nothing less of extraordinary! The visuals are amazing! The story is also a masterpiece, with the egg being metaphorical with Jun’s true feelings and desires. The relationship between our main cast is rough in the beginning with all of them having nothing in common but at the end they really help each other out and create these bonds that would normally never form. The character development is incredible, from the way Jun acts in the beginning being very timid and shy, to standing up for her friends and what she believes is right (even if she gets a stomach ache when she talks). The ending pairing….You know I actually am okay with how the group ended up lol. Overall It’s a very good movie to watch also very emotional! So get those tissues ready!!
