Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? [10/10]

“Hideki Nishimura plays the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Legendary Age under the alias Rusian. One day, after he proposes online to a girl who says that she is a man, Hideki swears off online marriages. Two years later, the persistence of Ako Tamaki, another Legendary Age player who is in the same guild as him, wore him down, and he accepted her in-game marriage offer. When he finally meets up with the rest of his guild members in the real world, he is shocked to discover that not only are they all actually girls, but that they attend the same school as him.” -Wikipedia
Netoge came out of left field for me! I had no idea anything like this was being animated and when I watched the first episode, I was hooked! Netoge is typically a Ecchi/comedy, but the ecchi isn’t overbearing! Sometimes Ecchi in anime can get a little crazy *cough*shinmaimaounotestament*cough* But Netoge does a good job of keeping it in moderation (not too much but not too little ;3). I thought the character designs were fantastic, inside and outside of the game! The story is good but it drifted away from attention after the 5th episode or so, which is interesting for character development. The main reason the Netoge club was created was to help Ako see the difference between the game world and reality. As the story progresses the club members forget the main objective because they accept Ako the way she is, if you can’t beat em, join em XD. And C’mon Ako is just straight precious, so is Schwein, and Master. With characters like these what’s not to love???
