Getsuyoubi no Tawawa [Review]
“The anime follows a salaryman who has a chance meeting with a girl named Ai on the train. They begin to meet every Monday on the train, with the man serving as her bodyguard on the crowded commute while they chat.” -ANN
Do you wanna watch anime while you’re on the way to work? Or maybe you got to a meeting early and want a stress reliever before hand? WELL WAIT NO FURTHER. If you watch Getsuyoubi no Tawawa not only will you get your fan-service for the day, you’ll also have a character to relate to! AND THAT’S NOT ALL, If you watch it NOW (or maybe later if you’re busy now…), the episodes will only be 5 minutes long!
“I’m not “I”-chan anymore, I’m “J”-Chan!”
The synopsis above may be misleading, Getsuyoubi no Tawawa actually jumped between characters. So don’t be surprised when you see a new girl! Each episode is about five minutes and follows certain characters. And a funny thing is that sometimes the stories will overlap and you can see the characters from the other stories in the same place!
Artwork & Animation:
For what the anime is about and how long the episodes are I’m okay with the minimal type of artwork and animation. Focusing more on the girls and less of everything else. It also helps with making the girls more memorable.
Okay, so there’s like 4 girls, Ai-chan, a co-worker, the dentist, and a personal trainer. Ai-chan being the only one with a name that you’ll probably remember since these episodes go by quick. Ai-chan is also the one that shows up the most (who would’ve thought). Character development there isn’t much to go off of. Just enjoy the fan service!
Sound (OST & Voice Acting):
Much like the artwork the sounds and voices are quite minimal, they get the job done but nothing more.
I do enjoy these anime shorts a lot! They don’t take a lot of time, and they get to the point! So shorts usually keep me pretty satisfied.
Overall: Score 9
Some may ask why such a high score? Well, this anime always puts me in a good mood (as do most shorts) so if I feel good watching it, I’ll give it a high score. Simple as that.
