Coming from a traditional Asian family, rice has always been an important part of my diet. So when I heard about this anime was all about rice, I had to watch it! Plot-wise it’s very predictable, generic, common etc. But with only 5-minute episodes, there’s only so much you can do. It’s so cliche that the main characters even have a streak of colored hair to distinguish them from the background characters! There are a lot, and I mean A LOT, of super bad puns that may or may not make you laugh. But the thing that I thought was cool, is that at the end of the episode (as you listen to the ED) they show a different way you can cook with rice and I think that’s awesome! But other than that there’s nothing really eye opening about the anime.
