I really had no idea what to expect from Hajimete no Gal. All I knew was it’s going to be filled with ecchi. But it turns out to have some substance after all. The story of the show revolves around Hashiba Junichi, who’s single and a bonafide virgin. In desperation to get a girlfriend, and possibly lose his virginity, he goes and asks out Yame Yukana, the gal. The main boys in the show can be a bit weird and awkward, which is most of the comedy in the show, but the girls are what really shine. There something inside of me that wants this to be similar to Oshiete Galko-chan! which you can read the review of right here. As Gal as Yukana looks, maybe she turns out to be a really nice and caring type of character. Hard to say at this point, but I’m hoping the comedy and plot follow through more and the ecchi is there only to compliment.
