An original Sci-Fi mech anime by Trigger (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and Kiznaiver)! In a collaboration with A-1 Pictures (Fairy Tail (2014), Nanatsu no Taizai, Boku Take ga Inai Machi, and many more)! This will definitely be one for the books if it’s done right! From all of the visuals and promotional videos that were released, it definitely looks like it’ll be an excellent show to watch!

Plot (In my own words):

It takes place in the distant future where the world is barren. In Mistelteinn, children are trained to become soldiers who pilot the FranXX, a mech used to fight against mysterious monsters known as Klaxosaurs. We follow Hiro, a boy who failed the testing and is unable to connect with his partner and pilot a FranXX, which is the only goal that these children have. Having lost the reason for existing he wonders into the garden and runs into a girl named “Zero Two”, who is also known as the “Partner Killer”.

Recommendation:

The plot is a little confusing with all that going on, but the animation and the artwork is amazing. The character still need time to develop so they may be annoying and whiny at the beginning but I really think that this could turn out to be something special. High recommendation for me!
