WOW. I love sports anime in general but the artwork really brings it home with the nostalgia. Take the aesthetics of Akira and Fist of the North Star and Megalo Box would be the result!

Plot (In my own words):

Megalo Boxing, a form of pure entertainment for the masses fighter compete in the ring along with gloves and a Megalo, a machine that enhances the strength of its wearer. Junk Dog, an underground megalo boxer, participating in fights holding back his true strength due to his “manager”. After facing humiliation a number of times, he takes a night drive on his beloved bike, only to cross paths with Yukiko and crashing his bike in the process. After refusing her help he brings forth the wrath of the megalo champion Yuuki. Will Junk Dog survive this fearsome counter, or will he bite the dust never to return again?

Recommendation:

If you love that 80s anime style but with much smoother coloring and animation, this one is not something you’d want to miss!! Personally, I don’t really know much about this anime and I’m really excited to see how it develops in the future!
