Goblin Slayer (First Impression)

For those of you who haven’t read the manga, this anime is as dark and brutal as the title implies. Goblin Slayer is NOT for the younger audience or those who are sensitive as it deals with a multitude of extremely dark themes.
Plot (In my own words):
Onna Shinkan, a priestess, just became a rookie adventurer and hopes to assist those out in the field on quests and missions. She’s roped into joining a rookie adventurer party to help with slay a group of goblins nearby. They enter the goblins’ hideout only to be met with a grim end. Onna is miraculously saved by the Goblin Slayer, an adventurer who’s honed in the ways of exterminating the fiends. As his fame spreads far and wide, there is no telling what or who could come next.
Recommendation:
It seems to me that Goblin Slayer’s anime adaptation is what Berserk’s anime adaptation would’ve been like if it was done right. The first episode alone will quickly show you its dark side with little to no warning. The world of Goblin Slayer is a dark and bloody one and I’m curious to see where it takes us.
