Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san (First Impression)

Plot:
“The comedy manga’s story centers on a skeleton named Honda who works in a bookstore. Hilarity ensues daily in his work at the shop’s manga counter.” -Anime News Network
First Impression:
I really dig the simplicity of the art and animation. There’s a certain charm to it, in a minimalist sense. The interactions that Honda-san has with the customers at the bookstore is hilarious, awkward, and relatable all at the same time! I’m interested in the other character and as to why they each have their own mask covering their face, except Honda-san cause….well…he’s a skeleton. Or is he? Maybe this entire show is one big metaphor waiting for someone to figure it out.
Recommendation:
YES
It’s a very easy show to pick up and the short (Eleven-ish minutes) episode are easy to watch without having to dedicate too much time. The comedy is great but you’ll need to have a good understanding of the type of people in the otaku scene (Fujoshi, otaku, NEET, etc.) to really appreciate the dialogue.
