First Impression:
The plot is definitely interesting. I’m still not sure how I feel about the show yet but I’m definitely interested in how they’ll do that art and animation especially for all of the youkai.
5 MINUTES IN AND WE ALREADY HAVE A CUTIE ALERT.
I love this depiction of a kappa, the way it’s drawn makes it looks so eerie and bizarre!
The biggest plot twist in the whole series. Change my mind.
I think….he needs better hobbies.
Recommendation:
NO
While the main concept is cool and the art is really great, the execution of the show itself didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The story feels scattered as if we missed a whole season before watching this as it starts very abruptly. With plot point after plot point, it’s hard to digest the information that is thrown at you. I’m guessing at some point in the show it’ll go back and explain every detail but with the quick start…it’s hard to follow. I wouldn’t recommend the show because of the rough start and the story isn’t that compelling enough, in my opinion. I’m curious to see how the rest of the show will unfold.
