Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! [10/10]

“Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! focuses on an art club in a certain middle school, and its members: Subaru Uchimaki, who is a genius at drawing faces, but only wants to draw the perfect 2D wife; Colette, a troublemaker who never stops making mischief; and the club president, who sleeps through sessions. Mizuki Usami is the only person in the club who wants to do art club-like activities, and constantly struggles to do so.” -ANN
There was a lot of bad anime this season (Summer 2016) and I’m sure most people will see this as another generic anime, BUT I beg to differ. There is so much more to Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru than meet the eye. First off the artwork itself, is s-so but the animation makes up for it! There are certain scenes where the animation was just over the top. Like the movement for the hair or someone touching their shirt, it was very smooth and seamless. There are also great character characters that bounce off of each other well, not to mention the A-list cast of Seiyuus (Voice Actors)! Usami being the “straight man” throughout the entire show was just pure genius, and paired up with the oblivious Uchimaki makes it all even better. And as much as I love the main cast, the side are great too! Especially Moeka! (DEAR GOD SHE SO DAMN CUTE). It’s great when anime have a good main cast AND a good side cast. I’m hoping manga gets more content and we see a season 2 in the nearby future! (Also lowkey, Uchimaki is my spirit animal…)
