First Impression:
To be honest, this isn’t a show that I’m excited about. I thought that character designs and the main plot was interesting enough, so I decided to give it a try. Let’s see what it has to offer us!
2 SECOND IN AND THERE’S A BIG CUTIE ALERT!
Interesting choice on P.A. Works’ part to use CGI for the vehicles. Using CGI for vehicles isn’t out of the ordinary, as we’ve seen in Initial D, but it takes a lot of attention to detail to make it right. The cars are flashy and really interesting though! I hope Appare will dissect the different cars and parts in the show!
Really disappointed in the art, it’s either great or it unkempt like the screenshot above. The consistent isn’t there and bothers me quite a bit.
If I like anything in the show, it’s Appare’s personality. Reminds me of a certain mad scientist trying to create civilization in a stone world *cough*Dr.Stone*cough*. Jokes aside, I really think he’s an interesting character and I’m curious about the rest of the cast. Character development is going to be crucial in making this anime a success.
*insert Daniel Glover meme here*
Recommendation:
NO
After the first episode, I’m interested but not impressed. First episodes are really important in drawing the attention of the audience and I don’t think Appare Ranman! did the job quite right. There are some good moment but just as many bad ones. I will continue on for science! But for you readers, my verdict is a no.
