I’m really excited to be able to watch another Trigger series so soon! So much excitement from Promare has me really biased for BNA…! And it seems like Trigger had a deal with Netflix so at least half of the show is already available for everyone to view!
Ah yes, I love Trigger’s flashy signature style! The opening is both abstract and dynamic and really hypes up the rest of the episode.
The motion animation is so fluid and organic, even if they look like weird blobs when you pause. The story so far is mildly entertaining. We follow Michiru as she makes her escape from violent humans to Anima City, where other beastmen live.
Ugh I can’t stress enough how great the art is! The contrast in the color palette for each scene which creates different moods makes the artist in me scream!
Ah, the fight scene is what I live for! It’s not as flashy as I hoped but it’s definitely still satisfying. The twist at the end is interesting and I’m not sure how the story will develop afterward but I’m curious to see what it becomes!
Recommendation:
YES
While the first episode puts you straight into the chaos and only feeds you little nuggets of backstory throughout, BNA is an exciting story with dynamic artwork and animation. I’m really excited to see what crazy twist Trigger has in store for us and what the theme of the overall story will be.
