Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san has both a solid and entertaining story as well as nice artwork and a somewhat reasonable amount of fanservice. A solid job on the art as well as the soundtrack give the story life and combining this with the great set of characters, it’s hard to not have an entertaining anime.

While I love the art and character design so far, the story itself felt like it wasn’t explained thoroughly enough. It was disorientating and most of the setting is implied through background conversations and little hints from our main characters. While I love the idea of alchemy playing a big part in the story, the mixture of alchemy and fantasy creatures like fairies felt weird and out of place. The first episode is mainly for Montmorency and establishing his character and position in the setting, but the way the entire episode was executed felt disjointed and unorganized.

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!! I’M NOT FREAKING OUT, YOU’RE FREAKING OUT!! *ahem* Sorry lost my composure for a second there…but yes, you heard right! Fairy Tail is finally back for its final season. The art and soundtrack fill me with nostalgia and man does it feel good! The somewhat uneasy intro has me a little worried about what’s to come (I have no idea since I refuse to read the manga in case of spoiling everything for myself) so it’ll be an interesting development.

Honestly, the first episode had me pretty confused. It seemed like some time has passed since Kaneki reawakened, and his hair color changed again? Maybe the manga readers have a better idea of what happened in between. But regardless this is it boys and girls! The final season of Tokyo Ghoul, I have very high expectations for the story and character development I hope to see everyone from both the original Tokyo Ghoul as well as our favorite from Tokyo Ghoul:re all get some screen time and end this awesome series with a bang.

Oh yes, the CGDCT (Cute Girls Doing Cute Things) anime that I’ve been looking for this season! From the get-go, I love the simplicity of the art, though it doesn’t involve a lot of details, the expressions of the characters make up for that other cute and amusing ways! As the synopsis suggests, the story is pretty straightforward focusing on Sophie and friends and their day to day life!

I always thought that Sumo was about big men pushing each other out of the ring and, oh boy, was I wrong about that. Sumo is a much more intense and honorable sport than I originally thought! The anime itself looks and feels great, the artwork and animation are dynamic and colorful while the story is passionate and inspiring. I love an overpowering main character, and Ushio is just the guy to fill that spot!

While the soundtrack and art stay true to what the previous seasons have shown us, the story expands it’s characters and shows us a darker side of Overlord that we haven’t seen yet.

A perfect little sister…becoming famous in an otaku hobby…the story already sounds very familiar. Anyway, while the premise isn’t anything new, the execution of the story is actually quite entertaining. The character themselves, while still cliché, have a freshness (is that a word?) to them because we haven’t seen these types of characters in a while (or that might just be me…). But let’s talk about the artwork. I always talk about derpy faces on some of my reviews of other anime but when I say that, I usually mean there were a few scenes that had it. Well, Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai has a derpy face IN EVERY SCENE. The art is uncomfortably bad and that’s sugar coating it.

I honestly didn’t think that Sword Art Online would come back after the second season in Gun Gale Online, but man I’m not complaining. Starting off with a 40-minutes episode to start off the new portion of the show was a good idea, allows for an introduction to this new arc as well as some scene to remind the audience on what’s already happened. The art and animation already caught my attention within the first few minutes, ALMOST like something ufotable would’ve done. The coloring and lighting made everything pop and visually stimulating. But las it’s not ufotable and therefore will have some flaws, such as the loss of detail lines in Alice’s hair. On the story side, Alicization brings back the danger and fear of virtual reality, after watching both season 1 and 2 we’ve grown used to the idea of VR and “dying” as a concept. Alicization brings back death in a new frightening way, renewing that tension that we first experience in the first season of SAO.
