We’re going to Naka-Kon 2020~!

I hope you’ve been enjoying the reviews and first impressions that I’ve been putting out lately! Tonight I have a really important announcement! I will be attending Naka-Kon 2020! Naka-Kon is the biggest anime convention in the Kansas City, MO area and was my first exposure to anime conventions. It’s going to be a whole new experience to be able to cover and write about the convention that started it all for me! I will be walking around the convention taking photos, buying new figures, or wearing my own cosplay! Be on the lookout if you’re going to be there!

Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara (aka Ride Your Wave) is a tragic love story that focuses on perseverance and hard work. The chopped up story and fast pace are kept afloat by the upbeat and youthful soundtrack as well as the free-flowing artwork and animation. Solid character development and dynamic story elements bring the loose plot points close enough to create a satisfying story that’ll make you shed a tear or two.

Kimetsu no Yaiba [Review]

At this point, there’s hardly anyone who doesn’t know the name of Kimetsu no Yaiba (aka Demon Slayer). The story took the anime world by storm with its gruesome story and articulate animation. A wonderfully crafted show that involves meaningful character development, a powerful soundtrack, and amazing art direction.

Birthday Wonderland, while conceptually beautiful, misses the mark with the execution. Lack of attention to side characters, background animation, and a more fully developed storyline creates a movie that is enjoyable to watch..but only once.

“When she was little, Mira Kinohata met a boy named Ao at a campsite in town. While gazing at the starry sky together, Mira learns that there’s a star with the same name as herself, but no star named Ao. The two then promised to one day explore asteroids together and find a star to name it after him. Several years later, Mira enrolls at the Hoshizaki high school and decides to join the astronomy club to fulfill her promise. However, she learns that the astronomy club will be merged with the geological research society to form the earth science club.
