Ulysses: Jeanne D’arc to Renkin no Kishi (First Impression)

While I love the art and character design so far, the story itself felt like it wasn’t explained thoroughly enough. It was disorientating and most of the setting is implied through background conversations and little hints from our main characters. While I love the idea of alchemy playing a big part in the story, the mixture of alchemy and fantasy creatures like fairies felt weird and out of place. The first episode is mainly for Montmorency and establishing his character and position in the setting, but the way the entire episode was executed felt disjointed and unorganized.

Fairy Tail: Final Series (First Impression)

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!! I’M NOT FREAKING OUT, YOU’RE FREAKING OUT!! *ahem* Sorry lost my composure for a second there…but yes, you heard right! Fairy Tail is finally back for its final season. The art and soundtrack fill me with nostalgia and man does it feel good! The somewhat uneasy intro has me a little worried about what’s to come (I have no idea since I refuse to read the manga in case of spoiling everything for myself) so it’ll be an interesting development.
