Listeners [Review]

Listeners is an ambitious original anime with a soundtrack composed by Jin. Unfortunately, it makes the same mistakes as Jin’s previous work Mekakucity Actors (animated by SHAFT) with its piecemeal story and lightly written characters. Though a strong soundtrack and decent world-building does make this show a worthwhile watch regardless.

Yesterday wo Utatte extremely well written from the characters ,their motives, their manner of speech, everything really flowed and connected with each other. The presentation of budding love in young adults is an awkward and sometimes hurtful path with no visible destination at the end. Yesterday wo Utatte focuses on those elements and creates a story that epitomizes the struggle of dating during your youth.

Enen no Shouboutai [Review]

Fire has also been an integral part of human life from warming up our food, protecting us from the cold, or lighting the darkness. It can also be destructive, destroying everything in sight. Enen no Shouboutai is one of those shows that tend to flow underneath the radar of the mainstream audience in my opinion. A wonderful show with a unique setting, creative and complex characters all bundled together with great artwork and a fitting soundtrack.

Runway de Waratte [Review]

Runway de Waratte is the shounen anime you never knew you needed, until now! The story about Chiyuki and Ikuto’s perilous path to being a top model and fashion designer is an endearing story full of hardship and triumph. With an excellent story as strong foundation and the bright soundtrack along with the colorful artwork, Runway de Waratte is a well-executed anime about following your dreams that you won’t want to miss.
